Welcome to the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, a four-day community of folk music and dance at the foot of the Berkshires in east-central New York State.
The 2009 festival will be held July 23rd - 26th, 2009.
FRFF is off to a late start this year due to the aftermath of last year's very severe weather that closed the festival early on Sunday. Our annual spring Preview Tour is not to be this year, but there may be a few shows here and there featuring the four top voted 2008 Showcase artists: Amy Speace, Blue Moose & the Unbuttoned Zippers, Abi Tapia, and Lucy Wainwright Roche. There are just four Preview Tour shows this year, featuring Abi Tapia, and Blue Moose and the Unbuttoned Zippers, all in the month of May:
- Friday May 15th, at Cafe Veritas in Rochester, NY
- Saturday, May 16th, at Common Ground Coffeehouse in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY
- Saturday, May 23rd, at Park Avenue Congregational Church in Arlington, MA
- Friday, May 29th at the Pioneer Arts Center of Easthampton (PACE) in Easthampton, MA.
Thanks to Abi Tapia for arranging these shows!
The list of confirmed performers has just been expanded with many new (and returning!) artists. As mentioned, a very late start for us, but thanks to this community, the artists who gave back their fee, the volunteers who refused their annual stipend, and all of you who donated to our Tornado Relief Fund, we are very definitely out of the woods, and good to go!
Information about volunteering at the festival, including an application form, is now available!
Purchase your tickets for the festival today! Prices will go up after May 15th. Online ticket ordering now available!
If you're interested in receiving e-mail updates about the festival, please send e-mail to falcridge@aol.com and you'll be added to the list.
